First Northern Credit Union is excited that the new standard in mobile payments is available now! Apple Pay combines Apple's seamlessly integrated hardware, software and services to create a unique, incredibly intuitive and elegant experience. This combination keeps payment information protected, so when adding a card with Apple Pay, the actual credit and debit card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers, and cashiers won’t see names, credit card numbers or card security codes. Apple Pay is easy to set up and users will continue to receive all of the rewards and beneﬁts offered by their credit and debit cards.
In participating stores, Apple Pay will work with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, upon availability. Within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
To ensure your enrollment goes smoothly, here are some tips:
Use the same contact information for your iTunes and Apple Pay account that you use for your First Northern Credit Union Accounts. A discrepancy can delay your enrollment. If your phone number, email address or mailing address has changed but you have not updated that information in your First Northern or iTunes account, you should update the incorrect information before enrolling in Apple Pay.
To simplify your Apple Pay enrollment even further, make your First Northern Classic, Visa Platinum or Platinum Premier credit card or debit card the default payment card in your iTunes account. If your First Northern Visa credit or debit card is already connected to your iTunes account when you enroll in Apple Pay, this will streamline your enrollment process: you’ll just enter your card’s security code when you enroll.
