Who Can Join

Membership is open to those who:

  • Live or work in the following counties in Illinois: Boone, Cook (North of I-55), DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will, Winnebago
  • Are employees of:
    • Exelon Corporation and its subsidiaries including Commonwealth Edison Company
    • Constellation Energy Corp. and its subsidiaries
    • Northwestern Memorial HealthCare and its subsidiaries
    • Northwestern University (alumni and students also welcome)
    • Any of our other Select Employer Groups or organizations*
  • Are related to a current member of First Northern Credit Union

If you do not meet one of the criteria above, we will be unable to open your credit union membership. All members of First Northern Credit Union are required to have a Share Savings Account with a minimum balance of $5.00, which represents your "share" of ownership in the credit union. *Please contact your Human Resources department to determine if your employer is one of our Select Employer Groups.
