- The recipient must accept the transaction within 10 days or it will be canceled. Once accepted, recipient will receive funds within 1-2 business days. You may can cancel the transaction as long as the recipient has not yet accepted it. Once accepted, it cannot be canceled.
- To ensure your funds are transferred to the right person, uou will be prompted to create a security question that only your intended recipient can answer. If the recipient enters in the wrong answer to the security question times, they are locked out and the transaction is canceled. The FNCU member would then need to set up a new transfer to the recipient.
Once the recipient accepts the transfer, they must enter a valid routing number and account number. Funds are then sent to their financial institution for processing (which takes 1-2 business days to post to their account). If the recipient enters an incorrect account number, the transfer will fail and funds will be returned to the FNCU member's account. If the recipient inadvertently enters an account number that is correct but not owned by the recipient, the recipient will need to reach out their financial institution for assistance.
