Proudly Serving Evanston For Decades
In 2003, Northwestern University’s employee credit union became a part of First Northern Credit Union, taking advantage of our additional products and services to serve its members, and adding the ability to serve students and alumni in addition to faculty and staff.
Three years later in 2006, we quickly outgrew that location and made our first footprint in Evanston on Clark Street, and expanded our field of membership , allowing us to serve anyone who lives or works in Evanston.
In 2013 we moved around the corner to our current branch at 1705 Sherman Avenue, a space five times bigger than the previous location. In 2017, we further expanded our field of membership to include those living or working in Lake County, Illinois and northern Cook County.
In 2020, we became proud partners with the City of Evanston, being selected as their “official financial wellness partner” and offering online and in-person financial resources that are exclusive to Evanstonians. Check us out, and learn why thousands of your fellow Evanstonians have chosen to “bank” with us for decades!
