This summer, our Streeterville branch had something extra special happening. All through June and July, members who stopped in were making donations in support of Nourishing Hope, Chicago’s largest and longest-running hunger relief organization. At the end of August, we brought your donations to Nourishing Hope's Headquarters on Hubbard Street — enough to help provide 300 meals for neighbors in need.
That kind of impact only happens because of you. To everyone who donated, thank you. Your generosity shows what makes our credit union different — members who genuinely care about the community we all share. And of course, a thank-you goes to our Streeterville branch team their efforts in collecting donations.
The need in Chicago is real. In 2024 alone, Nourishing Hope provided 4.5 million meals, including support for 21,000 families who came to them for the first time. Every distribution gives families enough fresh produce, dairy, proteins, and pantry staples to prepare 15 healthy meals.
If you’ve ever wanted to support them, know that there are plenty of ways to help. Donations make a difference, but so does your time. Volunteers help with everything from organizing shelves to packing orders and greeting families. Even a few hours can make a big difference — and it’s one of the most meaningful gifts you can give.
