Rockford Raises $3100 for Empower Boone

We are so proud to share that over the past two months, our branch tellers and staff rallied the community and raised $3,100 for Empower Boone Food Pantry. That is an amazing achievement, and we can already imagine how that money will be put to good use. Knowing that every dollar donated can translate into roughly eight dollars’ worth of nutritious food, your collective generosity can go a lot further than it seems.

Empower Boone’s mission is all about lifting up people in our community who are facing hard times by giving them a path toward self‑sustainability. They provide food, clothing, and access to on‑site community resource partners so neighbors can find not just a hand‑out but real hope and long‑term help. Your donations help them carry out that mission by filling their shelves with fresh, healthy food and helping families connect with supports they may not even know about.

Thanks to your efforts, someone showing up at Empower Boone this Tuesday can fill their trunk drive‑through style with nutritious groceries and maybe even receive a personal care item or resource referral to assist with utilities or employment. Those bolts of support extend beyond just hunger relief to help neighbors feel seen, valued, and supported. Because of you, neighbors in Boone, Winnebago, McHenry and beyond will get help that goes deeper than a simple food box.

Once again, thank you to everyone who gave, spread the word, or volunteered. Together we have shown what happens when a community lifts each other up. Empower Boone’s vision—neighbors helping neighbors, building for tomorrow—just got stronger. Let’s celebrate what we’ve done and keep that spirit going into the months ahead.
