As the temperatures begin to drop, First Northern Credit Union is once again inviting our community to take part in Share the Warmth, our annual winter donation campaign. From October 14 through November 14, we’ll be collecting new winter hats, scarves, mittens, gloves, and warm socks for both youth and adults, with a special focus on children’s sizes.
All donations will be delivered to the Rockford Family Peace Center, a local organization that provides safety, counseling, and hope for families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. By connecting survivors with law enforcement, advocates, and community partners, the Peace Center helps families find the support they need to move forward.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our members and neighbors, we filled four large bags with cozy winter accessories. This year, we’re hoping to collect even more to help local families stay warm through the cold months ahead.
You can drop off your donations at First Northern Credit Union’s Rockford branch at 104 N. Show Place Drive or at our Mortgage Services Office at 6832 Stalter Drive. Every hat, scarf, and pair of mittens makes a difference. Together, we can help share the warmth and show what community care truly looks like.
